If you're not already watching AMC's Breaking Bad, well then you're missing out on yet another kick ass original series from AMC. First, Mad Men, and now this.
Now, I've opined on
Breaking Bad before, and duh, I like it. But while Episode 5 had this emotional punch that made even a cynical tv guy like me get a bit teary (but no superfluous waterworks), Episode 6 showed a guy who's dying of cancer and, confronted with an f--ked situation with some violent drug dealers, once again use his mad chemistry skillz AND his zeal inspired by his situation to kick ass and take names.
If
Fight Club was the movie that inspired folks like me with
words of wisdom, I think Breaking Bad offers the same to folks as well, but frankly, for those in the true mainstream - overtaxed, over-mortgaged, pissed off, and upon finding they have nothing to lose, using their skillz against The Man. (if the beginning of Episode 6 does not inspire such thoughts, well...I think you're getting a visit from the You SUCK! Fairy soon!)
GO. SEE. THIS. SERIES. NOW!
and then, let's discuss. talk amongst yourselves, I'm too busy lighting a lighter because this rocked.
